the wonderful year of color!
Updated: Feb 4
WELCOME to Day One of the WONDERFUL YEAR OF COLOR!
I'm embarking on a quest, and I'm taking you with me. For the next 365 days I will be sharing the color I wear/ that is IN my day, every. single. day. for 365 days.
(Name inspiration by Disney's Wonderful World of Color)
I've been trying to think of a way to feel like everyday I get to do a little bit of everything I love. I want to write everyday, I love sharing colorful photos everyday, I love being able to hopefully inspire and share about sustainability everyday- oh and I love doing my #dressedforbroadway as often as I can - so... after watching 'Julie & Julia' again two nights ago while making pasta with autumn vegetable sauce, I was inspired by her year long blog of cooking her way through Julia Child's cookbook- and I'm embarking on my OWN year long challenge!
I actually do wear color everyday, but some days we all need the motivation to get dressed. I'm SO excited to wear my whole closet, to re-wear things, and to see WHERE I'm wearing them ....! ( Lookout- I love word play...)
DAY ONE: January 31st 2020
I wore one of my favorite twirling dresses, a bright yellow long sleeved dress I snagged from Goodwill a few months ago, and matching yellow tassel earrings. I love to add a neutral or two to my color some days, just as much as I like to be FULLY dressed as a rainbow some days too- look out below!
I took said outfit to The Metropolitan Museum of Art - my favorite 'Backyard' museum, (Garrett and I live on the Upper East Side, and walking to those beautiful steps by Central Park is one of my greatest New Yorker joys.)
I spent most of my time in the Impressionists wing- which is nothing new, and below are some of my favorite color finds.
I can't WAIT to see where this year takes us- thank you for following along!
xoxo, Color Girl
